Stilnovo, which translates to “New Style,” was founded in 1946 by Bruno Gatta and led the way in Italian design after World War II. Stilnovo created cutting-edge lighting by working with well-known designers like Ettore Sottsass, Gaetano Scolari, and Cini Boeri. They did this by utilizing novel materials and sophisticated finishes. Their heyday, represented by sleek and fashionable designs that epitomize Italian grace, was in the 1950s.

We honor this era with our “Astral Nova Pendant Light”. It embodies the ageless style and inventive spirit of classic Stilnovo lighting, and it is made entirely of brass and metal shades.

Inspired by planetary shapes and textures, the Astral collection delves into metal properties and curated patina finishes. Meticulously layered patina on hand-spun brass plates creates a unique, individual look. The light is carefully directed into the shade, reflecting outward to provide gentle, glare-free illumination.
